DERBY — A 40-year-old Stratford woman is facing multiple charges after allegedly causing a head-on collision while traveling the wrong way down Route 8 in Derby.
Connecticut State Police say Jessica Carrafiello was traveling north in the southbound left-hand lane of Route 8 in a Ford SUV when she allegedly struck a Subaru crossover sedan head-on. The driver of the sedan, a Seymour man, swerved but was unable to avoid colliding with Carrafiello’s vehicle.
Paramedics were called to the scene and transported the man to the hospital. The extent of his injuries were unknown.
