BRIDGEPORT — One person arrived at a local hospital with a gunshot wound Tuesday evening and would not cooperate with police officials, police spokesman Av Harris said.
The emergency department at Bridgeport Hospital called police around 7:35 p.m. for a person who showed up with a gunshot wound to the knee, Harris said. He said the incident was said to have occurred in the area of the 200 block of Grant Street.
“Officers and DB (Detective Bureau) responded to the hospital, but the victim was uncooperative with officers and no further information could be obtained,” Harris said.
Prior to the victim’s arrival at the hospital, there had not been any calls to police for gunfire anywhere in the city.
