BRIDGEPORT — Police have released the name of the man killed yesterday in the city’s 21st homicide.
Jeri Kollock, 18, of Bridgeport, was a week away from his 19th birthday when he was shot around 4:30 p.m. in the stairway of a building in the Green Homes housing project, police said.
“The evidence indicates that Kollock was forced to strip naked and remove his jewelry,” said Bridgeport Police Detective Lt. Christopher Lamaine, in a statement from a city spokesman. “He was then shot multiple times. Kollock fled down the stairs to the basement, where he collapsed, but managed to drag himself over the next 45 minutes to the door, where he emerged yelling for help.”
He died before medics arrived, police said.
