BRIDGEPORT — A man who stabbed repeatedly by a group of assailants Saturday evening was in stable condition Sunday following surgery, police said.
Charles Franklin, 31, was attacked and stabbed multiple times at about 7:35 p.m. Saturday evening while sitting on the corner of Hancock Avenue and Maplewood Avenue, said Av Harris, a city spokesman.
“The attack on him appears to have been coordinated by three or four individuals who beat and stabbed him repeatedly,” Harris said. “Injuries were to his lower body and legs.”
The suspects fled in a red pickup truck and on foot, running on Hancock Avenue toward Fairfield Avenue. The suspects were described as youth known to the area, Harris said.
